Summer Day Ball at Pamela Park

NLB Summer Development Camp is what was formerly known as "Day-Ball" for those in the EBA program. The Edina High School varsity baseball coach (Tom Nevers), Edina high school players, and NLB staff will be working with your child. The goal of the program is to help your child develop in all areas of the game while providing a fun baseball experience. Please read below for more information on what the program entails. Included are dates, times, drills, and who this program is for.


Outside practices will be held at Pamela Park on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Pamela Park is located at 4303 W 58th St. Edina MN 55424

Indoor hitting will be held at the Nevers Larkin Baseball facility on Wednesdays. Nevers Larkin is located at 7104 Ohms Ln Edina 55439


M/Tu/TH practices times (At Pamela Park)

2nd/3rd Graders = 9:00-10:15am

4th/5th Graders = 10:15-11:30am

Wednesday practice times (At NLB)

2nd/3rd Graders = 9:00-10:00am

4th/5th Graders = 10:00-11:00am

We may add a 11:00-12:00pm time if necessary.

The program starts June 3rd and runs six weeks wrapping up on July 11th.

The Fourth of July is a Thursday and that day will be taken off.

Who Is This Program For?

Player who.....

Want to improve their defensive footwork.

Want to get help on becoming an athletic hitter

Want to learn about pitching

Want to get tested to gauge first to last week improvement

Want to play baseball and maybe not travel.

Want to play in a fun environment

Want to development in how to be a good teammate

Want to learn base running, sliding, and diving to make a play defensively

Want to improve from June-July and have a great travel season

What Will My Child Be Doing?

Drill - whiffle - hitting

Drill - infield - throw to first - second - dp - slow rollers

Drill - baserunning - sliding - leads - secondary

Drill - outfield - pad to dive on

Drill - pitching - stretch - games with group for strikes

Tee drills

Batting practice from coaches

What Is Testing?

The first week we will be running players through testing in these three areas:

  1. Hitting Off a Tee - MPH
  2. Hitting Front Soft Toss - MPH
  3. Fielding and Throw across the infield- MPH

At the end of the program they will be retested to see their growth!

Braemar Night

Braemar Night replaces the practice at their regularly scheduled times. Players go to the Braemar complex in Edina to play on those fields. This will take place on two Thursdays.
